The past few months have see cadets, staff and civilian committee members working hard to raise funds for the charity Help for Heroes. Between a stall at Bolesworth Classic show, selling to cadets, friends and family along with work colleagues the squadron has managed to raise an impressive £700 for the charity.
The Civilian Committee Chairman Colin Payne said “This is a fantastic achievement and shows how young people in Crewe and the surrounding areas are aware of other charities and actually want to help make a difference. Over the past two years we have now raised nearly £2000 for the charity showing there is public support for Her Majesties Armed Forces and is a fantastic achievement by 95 Crewe Squadron”.
Cadet Flight Sergeant Ryan Jones added why the cadets like to support the charity;
The cadets, staff and Civilian Committee of 95 Crewe Squadron also work hard to bring a range of donations into their squadron. This ensures that they can keep running and providing a range of exciting opportunities to local young people.
If you would like to help them raise funds for the squadron or for their chosen charity of Help for Heroes then they would be delighted to hear from you. For more information please email Commanding Officer Flt Lt Lauren Kelly RAF VR(T): oc.95@aircadets.org or search ’95 Crewe Squadron’.
